FORGE//FWD — Return & Replacement Policy

At FORGE//FWD, every item is made-to-order — created only after you choose it. This helps us reduce waste, stay intentional, and make sure our gear lands in the hands of people who truly want it. Because of this, we don’t operate like traditional retailers, and we want to be upfront about what that means.
1. MADE-TO-ORDER: WHAT THAT MEANS FOR RETURNS
Each product is printed or embroidered specifically for you through trusted partners like Printify, Printful, and Tapstitch.
Because your item is created on demand — not pulled from a warehouse — we cannot offer standard returns or exchanges for size, color preference, fit, or buyer’s remorse.
Think of each piece as something crafted the moment you said “yes.”
2. IF SOMETHING ARRIVES DAMAGED OR INCORRECT
If your item shows up with a defect, misprint, damage from production, or is simply the wrong item, we’ll replace it.
What qualifies:
Print defects
Rips, holes, or damage
Incorrect items
Incorrect sizing caused by the manufacturer
Major color or placement errors
What doesn’t qualify:
Choosing the wrong size
Changing your mind
Minor color variations from screen to fabric (a natural part of on-demand printing)
3. HOW TO REQUEST A REPLACEMENT
Email us at support@forgefwd.co within 7 days of delivery and include:
Your order number
A brief description of the issue
Clear photos of the defect, misprint, or damage
A photo of the packing slip (if available)
Once we verify the issue, we’ll work with the production partner to send you a replacement at no cost.
Our goal is always to make it right — with clarity, kindness, and respect.
4. LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
Once an order is shipped, it becomes the responsibility of the carrier and the recipient.
If a package is marked “delivered” but you cannot locate it:
Check with neighbors, building management, or your household
Contact the carrier for help
You can still contact us — we’ll walk you through next steps and advocate where possible, but replacements for lost/stolen packages are not guaranteed.
5. WRONG ADDRESS POLICY
If the shipping address was entered incorrectly at checkout, we cannot guarantee edits once production begins.
If an item is returned to the printing facility due to an incorrect address, we can reship it once the customer pays for the new shipping label.
6. CANCELLATIONS
Because orders go into production quickly, we cannot guarantee cancellations once placed.
If you need help, contact us immediately and we’ll do everything we can before production begins.
7. REFUNDS
Refunds are only issued in the following cases:
The item is out of stock or cannot be fulfilled
The item arrives damaged or defective and you choose a refund instead of a replacement
A verified production error occurs that cannot be corrected
All other sales are final due to the made-to-order nature of our products.
8. A NOTE FROM US
We know the relationship between communities of color and the outdoors is layered, historical, and sometimes complicated. FORGE//FWD exists to help rewrite that story — with intention, pride, and presence.
That includes being transparent about how our gear is made and how our policies work. We don’t hide the fine print. We don’t make you guess. We respect your time, your money, and your journey.
